PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT AND EXCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION SIGNED BETWEEN THE CABINET AKSIMAN AND REACT FOR FIGHTING AGAINST COUNTERFEITING AND PIRACY.
It is at the occasion of the 6th International Congress for the struggle against counterfeiting and piracy which took place in Paris on 2 and 3 February 2011 that REACT (react.org) and Cabinet AKSIMAN signed a partnership and exclusive representation agreement in Morocco linking them for the struggle against counterfeiting and piracy.
This mutual engagement was signed by Mr Ronald BROHM President of REACT and Mr AKSIMAN Amine Industrial Property Counsel and Deputy Director of Cabinet AKSIMAN.
By this agreement, the fight against counterfeiting and piracy takes from now on another dimension in Morocco whose efforts to eradicate these plagues for the economy have not until now been very perceptible. These efforts became more difficult to implement with the opening of customs borders in 2012 which will register without doubt an unprecedented surge of counterfeit products of various origins.
Cabinet AKSIMAN will have to assure, in addition to the fight against counterfeiting and piracy resulting from the operations of watching at the borders, those of local origin or those of a foreign origin introduced illegally in Morocco. Its permanent actions on the field will consist, inter alia, in the search and detection of counterfeited products and the defense of the rights and interests of REACT members.
Cabinet AKSIMAN will also provide training services to authority agents in the field of the struggle against counterfeiting and piracy and will contribute, with proposals, to the reinforcement of the legislative system of intellectual property in Morocco and to the improvement of the business climate.
